This introductory course on probability and descriptive statistics aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of these crucial areas of mathematics and data analysis. Beginning with the first chapter, we will delve into the essential concepts of descriptive statistics, precisely defining the terms and fundamental notions that will serve as the foundation for our learning journey.
In the second chapter, we will explore the realm of numerical representation of data. We will discover various techniques and tools for effectively summarizing complex datasets, thereby facilitating their analysis and interpretation.
The third chapter will involve an in-depth exploration of the key statistics used in practice. We will examine central measures, data dispersion, and other key indicators in detail, enabling us to better understand and characterize datasets.
Lastly, in the fourth chapter, we will tackle probability calculations, a crucial area for modeling and prediction in various contexts. We will explore basic probability concepts, as well as methods and techniques used to compute and interpret probabilities in different scenarios.
This course will provide a rich and comprehensive learning experience, empowering students to develop a solid understanding of probability and descriptive statistics, along with practical skills to apply them across various fields of application.
