Algorithms and Data Structures 1
This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of algorithms and data structures. It aims to develop students’ ability to approach problems methodically by designing structured algorithms and translating them into computer programs.
The course progressively covers the fundamentals of computing and algorithmic problem solving, sequential algorithms, conditional and repetitive structures, one- and two-dimensional arrays, character strings, and user-defined data types.
The C programming language is used as the main implementation support, allowing students to put the algorithms studied into practice. Particular attention is given to the proper presentation, structure, readability, and organization of both algorithms and programs through exercises, tutorials, and practical work.
